Rick Cravey

Rick co-founded Kian and is responsible, along with Kevin, for all Kian activities including originating and evaluating investment opportunities, structuring and negotiating transactions, managing portfolio investments, and investor relations. 

Rick has spent 24 years working with lower middle-market companies. Prior to founding Kian, Rick was a Managing Director and head of the Atlanta office for MCG Capital Corporation, a publicly-traded business development company focused on providing junior capital to lower middle-market companies. Prior to MCG, He was a Partner with CGW Southeast Partners, an Atlanta based lower middle-market private equity firm with over $750 million of capital under management. Prior to CGW, Rick held positions at ING Barings and Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. He has held Board positions at 11 companies over the last 22 years.

Rick earned a B.A. in History from Furman University and an M.B.A. from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
